The Rainbow Road in Mario Kart DS would've been perfect as a retro course in Mario Kart 8 because of the anti-gravity potential but oh well. Mods are always a thing, I guess.

Fun Fact: If you play Balloon Battle while on an airplane, you will automatically have the max number of balloons available at any given time without touching any buttons.

Fun fact if you blow in the mic it will blow up your balloons and it works faster then pressing and holding buttons. So what is happening in the airplane is that the mic percieves sound (might be out of your hearing range tough) and thinks your blowing in the mic, and it acts accordingly, blowing up your balloons for you. But since the sound isnt stopping it also wont stop blowing up balloons untill youve either reached the 3 balloons limit (tough you can get up to 5 if you steal balloons with mushrooms) or you dont have any balloons left to inflate

@@ederbanks I mean no disrespect by this, but a quirk is by definition, moreso relative to a feature (As in, intended), whereas a glitch is a temporary or a sudden irregularity or malfunction (As in, unintended). So, while very similar, (and by all means language is an ever evolving thing, so I can't say you're downright wrong, because you're not,) the not so well known distinction between the two words is the intention or lack of that differentiates them. Again, no disrespect, just randomly felt like watching the video and noticed that I very much agreed with the notion that some of these just weren't what I consider a glitch. Anyways, cheers mate! Despite not knowing a thing about you, I hope all is well in your world, and if not, I hope things shape up soon. :D

I have two "childhood fever dreams" that have to do with this game it would be nice if any of you could confirm or deny this. I was very little so keep that in mind. The first one: I was playing as Bowser and was around 5th place, then Peach speeds up and starts driving next to me, then she says "excuse me..." before bumping into me and taking the lead. The second one (this one is REALLY weird): I unlocked the Yoshi Circuit for the first time and when I get to the part that is supposed to be Yoshi's arm (the shortcut you can take by using a mushroom) ALL the computer players start falling into the water, as if they were trying to do the shortcut without the shroom. This only happened once and it was only on my first time playing, I was Yoshi on the Egg1 in a 50cc Grand Prix. Do these ring a bell to any of you? Tell me what you think!

The lap count discrepancies are down to the Mario kart checkpoint system. Depending on where you are on track the game pre loads the your current checkpoint, and the ones directly in front and behind you. By driving off at that fence and then going backwards you glitch the checkpoint system where it thinks you are still in the point just passed the finish line even though you aren't. By then turning around after the tunnel you've activated the checkpoint passed the one where you initially drove into the water and so confuse the game into thinking you completed lap 1 when you technically haven't. It was for this reason many of the super shortcuts in Mario Kart Wii are possible
