Theres a way to beat king bob omb in under 10 seconds, which breaks the game's rating mechanism, giving you 2 stars, for whatever reason. You have to make a perfect boost start and ram neutrally (as in, full speed ahead without steering) into the boss with that, he will then be unable to throw the first bob omb he would toss at you, it will explode, hitting him once, then hit him again after he has recovered with the bob omb you picked up. Now he will jump, you should pick up a bob omb and place yourself under his landing position, then blow yourself up, touching him in mid air, will actually make the game register the final hit on him.

i always first rush straight into one bomb early and threw it at the king while taking the 2nd box before it despawns, then throw that at him too when the new boc arrives, take it and immediately hold the bomb while driving straight for where he is gonna land and wait - KABOOM he's dead🤣🤣🤣🤣
