Really cool easter egg on this map. One of the paintings to you can see on the wall in the mansion is the gold frame variant of the final boss from Luigis Mansion, King Boo and Bowser. However, unlike that game King Boo is missing from the painting leaving only the fake bowser, implying that by Mario Kart DS King Boo had escaped.

I loathe this map. Really, I do. Only like a third is spent inside the mansion, a third is spent outside, and a third is spent steering through mud that’s incredibly difficult to steer through, which is the main reason I hate this map. The theme is really cool but the map could’ve been so much better.
