In reagrds to the DLC: I would get the argument of wanting to keep the classic feel, if they didn't already do that every other time they've referenced the track. From every Retro Redesign to that one level in 3D World, it's always the same approach. It's why this remix is so awesome, it's refreshing. Still, I was really hoping for an offical big band orchestra to blow up Nintendo's Studio with their cover. But for now this will be the closest we'll come to that for a long time, and it's really awesome to have come from a fan

Am I the only one who genuinely prefers the official MK8 version? The course itself is extremely basic, so I can't see why they shouldn't have kept things simple to fit the course. The higher quality and sick drums still make it sound like a proper MK8 song. I adore this remix for sure, but at the same time I'm quite pleased that they didn't go too crazy with the grandfather of all Mario Kart courses.
