Not quite: it borrowed a FEW aesthetic choices from the Wii U/Switch version too, such as a ceiling adorned with pipelines, and the pipeway to the underwater section keeping the red/green/yellow colors all the way. The starting gate is also a fusion of the starting gate from the previous versions.

My ranking from worst to best: 7, Tour, 8. I'm glad this track is in 8 already. I wish Nintendo would have stuck with the same artstyle for the DLC. The tour style is fine and looks good but it clashes with the rest of the game

@Jayden Collects Balloons they both have the same layout anyway (except the underwater section). I personally prefer 8's version because at the end of the underwater section, it feels like you're launching upwards from the pipe into the overworld which actually makes it feel like you were underground unlike in 7 and Tour where you just come out the pipe horizontally. All versions are really good though.

I always say Piranha Plant Slide in Mario Kart 7 (and now Tour) is suppose to resemble Super Mario Bros underground with the track having a blue hue like the original undergorund having, while Piranha Plant Slide in Mario Kart 8 is suppose to resemble New Super Mario Bros underground with the track removing the blue hue and having more of a deatiled look

Piranha Plant Slide and all other retro tracks which appeard in the basic Mario Kart 8 game and NOT in the booster course pass DLC, are the lucky ones. See Piranha Plant Slide in Tour is how it had looked if it was DLC. Just pause at 2:04 and you will see.

I just think Nintendo should use the same textures and art style of MK8D for these DLC Booster pack. I'm glad we're getting new tracks at a period of time, I mean, it's content to the game so yeah.
