For the people asking here are the definitions (to the extent of my knowledge): Ultra Shortcut: A shortcut that skips KEY CHECKPOINTS and sometimes tricks the game thinking you did a lap. Normal Shortcut: A shortcut that skips NONE or some NORMAL CHECKPOINTS and is only used for reducing lap time, in the end you still go around the course.

Wouldn't it be more optimal to throw away the banana peel and get another green shell to do the shroomba multiple times on tracks like koopa cape? Hurts watching the gooma walking around there and you're just carrying the same banana peel you picked up half a lap ago. Could probably save a couple seconds in the run.

One bit of advice for Gold Mine Roulette: play it safe with the jump and try to land away from the minecart tracks rather than landing on them. You might lose a few fractions of a second but you'll be able to avoid hitting minecarts.
