The original course is my favorite track in the Mario Kart series, yet I think Wii made it even better. It’s more accessible to less experienced players than the original was, the lava geysers add a brand new obstacle, and the updated visuals and sound effects make the track feel more haunting than it was before. My only complaint is that Marty (the thwomp in the jail cell) isn’t green anymore.

As a kid, this track scared the shit outta me. This course is fairly easy to win by massive margins, so being all alone with the unsettling backdrop, the creepy ass music, and the endless lava...terrifying for an 7-10 year old in 2008!

I still think this is the best Bowser's Castle imo. Really fits its placing in Mario Kart Wii (the final track of the last cup). If you're doing all 32 races at once like me and my brother used to do a lot back then, it really fit for this to be the finale of the whole thing.

This track is such an underrated gem and I LOVE it! For 5 main reasons: 1. I generally just love the track design. 2. This is honestly one of the most nostalgic tracks in the whole game for me, which always makes me excited to play it! 3. I absolutely LOVE the creepy music in it! 4. I also really like how nice and long it is too! 5. I also just love how the backdrop is literally just an endless sea of lava. So yea! This track is incredible, and I’m VERY glad they brought it back for this game! 👍

This track just nails the “ominous, eerie and empty” atmosphere perfectly. There’s nothing on the horizon, just you in this castle. It has no living quarters or anything that makes it feel like it has a purpose, so you just wonder why it was built and why it is so unwelcoming.

Brooo if this returns in mk8 deluxe booster course then Nintendo HAS to put this in, it would be sooo nice to see the Gates lower in lap 2 and in lap 3 the thwomp finally wakes up after you reach the section where it is and it just rushes through the hallway to the end and rushes back to the gates and repeats with 280km/h

We have Mushroom Gorge now, and GBA Bowser's Castle 3 and Ghost Valley 2 would be easy to implement due to being vatiants of courses already in Mario Kart Tour. In fact, Nintendo accidentally leaked Ghost Valley 2 themselves in the Halloween Tour (2020).
