Of course, the VOICE is wonderful no matter what song is sung, but I would just play the movie footage that goes with these beautiful movie scenes. They are almost as wonderful as Mario’s voice. The greatest tenor voice of all time- yes better than all the others. In fact, if it were not for Lanza, there would be no others because if not for him the whole house of opera would have collapsed! He is the best of the best. Even the family of Enrico Caruso had to finally admit that Mario’s voice was better. What an accomplishment. And, so fitting that he should play & sing “The Great Caruso”! I would have hoped for 10 more films…..

The Student Prince soundtrack album is without doubt some of the finest singing Lanza's ever recorded and shows how committed he was to the role. Such a shame he wasn't in the final film though. As always, my friend, thank you so much for posting. I'm in a huge need of cheering up, as I'm going through a very tough time (emotionally) at present X
