I watched this film in its entirety earlier today. I watch several of Mario's films each day. Thank you so very much for posting this. Mario was, in my humble opinion, the greatest tenor who ever lived and I don't believe he will ever be surpassed.

It is truly amazing that a singer who passed away so long ago still captures the imagination of millions. It is a testimony to Mario Lanza's fantastic talent. It was a splendid but short lived career filled with passion and success and some difficult times. At the end, Lanza was back on his way up and was among the most popular entertainers of his era. I recommend reading A KID FROM PHILADELPHIA, MARIO LANZA, THE VOICE OF THE POETS, and to listen to him as you read the beautiful essays that are a homage to a star who is still with us and will always be with us.

Thank you for posting these. They are beautiful. It is a good way to start the New Year...with the voice of Mario Lanza. He was amazing and was able to cross over from opera to popular music as no one else. An excellent book about him is "A Kid from Philadelphia, Mario Lanza, the Voice of the Poets." It has the feelings and passion that Mario devoted to his work and is written in English and Italian to pay homage to his dual heritage.

Doretta Morrow was a very talented soprano who also had a very short life.She was born in 1927 and died in 1968.She originated two very important roles Tuptin in The King and I and Marsinak in Kismet .Because you re mine was her only movie and she was only in the TV movie The adventure of Marco Polo with Alfred Drake. She was a marveleus soprano and deserves to be better known
