Aside from the insane attack numbers and how long it took to beat this hell on earth. Can we just take a moment and give a “Awww” to Mario and Luigi saying bye to their young selves? Mario Bounces his younger self like a father with his kid and then Luigi’s younger self didn’t wanna leave because well he’s still the same a bit. These games were my childhood and literally this whole spinoff (except dream team and paper jam) it was like a Saturday morning cartoon just a extra difficult one for 13 year old me lmao!

Elder Princess Shroob has to be the hardest boss in the series and probably one of the hardest across the entire Mario franchise. Not helped by the long ass time between saves. You fuck up, you're back to just after destroying the Shroob Mothership.

I streamed a run of this game recently, finished it tonight, and somehow managed to get a pair each of the super rare baby and adult trousers. Those combined with the badge that takes up four items but deals “massive” damage made these fights SO much easier than I had ever done in previous runs. It cut an hour and a half from my previous playtime, which was only a few years ago last I played it LOL

I think the scene where Elder Princess Shroob manifests is actually really scary. The music stops (at least here, in other videos I’ve seen it play) and the alien speaks in full fluent English, telling us that it’s the end for us with an off-sounding text tone. I ha e two reasons why and they are both scary as fu*k reasons! 1st reason: she learned the mushroom kingdoms language to negotiate the kingdoms surrender. Their initial plan was to rain fire on the mushroom kingdom and then make their ruler surrender. They were most likely still gonna go ahead with the vim factory and Yoob though so it's not like if elder princess shroobs didn't get captured then everyone would have been okey dokey. 2nd reason: she learned the native languageso that she could tell everyone that they were doomed and how she would kill them all!
