honestly ambient64 is still one of my favorites as far as capturing Dream Vibes. soo many of the hacks this comp were like "mario you are sleeping mario you are in a coma mario you have to wake up mario none of this is real MAR RIO O YYO OU HAVVE ET OOO O WA K EEU P" but like, just existing in a weird contextless chao garden-ass space and not knowing why youre here and maybe you jump down a waterfall and become invisible feels way more true to The Dream Experience to me. ofc others beat it in terms of content and gameplay and technical prowess and whatnot but i do still think it's a solid little standalone artpiece
