I'd suggest checking your bluetooth connection from your "Wii" with a "third-party" controller. I've found DS4 controllers are super useful for this, as they can be super picky about the quality of the connection. If that's also struggling I'd highly recommend investing into antennas if supported by your motherboard). Otherwise a USB dongle that is positioned with direct line-of-sight to your controller via a USB extender can also do the trick.

So cool seeing you play this board, especially playing as Boo. This board was where I played my first ever game of Mario Party, and I played as Boo. Fun times. I didn't even own a Wii growing up, but a close friend of mine in school did. I was looking forward to Identifying Luck Mario Party 8 ever since finding your channel specifically because of this board, and that was before you said that you were looking forward to telling us how it worked.

20:17 As someone who has played this board way too much (and this game in general😂), yes Hard and Very Hard CPUs seem to know where the star is located. I’ve done 50 turn games before with 3 CPUs and only seen Hard or Very Hard CPUs go the wrong way a handful of times the entire game. Don’t generally play with Easy or Normal difficulty CPUs but I guess the CPUs may be more likely to go towards the star depending on their difficulty.
