You can also just wiggle the stick in a small range (like sdi. I typically just wiggle up, quickly back and forth within a 5th of the circle) and that works just as well if not better.

It's not Lady luck, at least not all of it. Jacob, the heavy gambler he is, understands the risk and reward and cutting off and risk to mitigate where it can, and Mario Party is no differen, he knows that game in and out like the back of his hand, if you see his tech for the minigames its all optimal. To exemplify m My point, he is so quiet around the time Jaiden takes her turn up to bat. But then when the tension breaks and he doesn't need to worry he cools off by shaking off the tension and saying that the CT is null bc he doesn't have a star. He had no reason to tell Jaiden anything, he could have just let the tension deflate but, ever the showman, Jacob plays fo fun and tells her anyway, to keep the game rolling smooth and to roll of a failed skill check.
