@@JCBro-yg8vd in the 2nd ultimate challenge, if you watch the video, you'll see that almost every shot from every character is an shot with an effect. to get effects, you need to be lucky. some people are VERY unlucky for some reason and one of them is me🙂

@@Krokodilius Isn’t RNG in this game deterministic? As long as you do the exact same thing, it should work out in the same way every time. That’s what I’ve seen when I’ve had to restart certain challenges and would always hit or miss critical shots on the first turn.

@@tanookisam4911 It's not deterministic. For this walkthrough it doesn't matter too much, but in UC #2, you take damage on the first turn almost half of the time and then the Boo placements require you to develop a different strategy each time.

Eh there was sorta RNG, at the end with the coffin mid boss if you stone him Luigi can't hero sight and kill him, and if he attacks toad and gets the push it can mess up your damage-less run if toad gets knocked back far enough. It isn't a big deal but if you're trying to not take any damage then there is some slight RNG

I played this challenge again recently just to see what was down the alternate longer path that nobody ever takes, and for anybody curious it spawns about 72 Hoppers followed by the elemental midbosses, before shoving you back onto the main path where it still makes you deal with the Peek a Boos and Supporters

Yeah...I used the built in 30 second screen capture of the Switch for the recordings. Every 25 or 30 seconds there is a glitch as the Switch saves the video to memory.

I had one left that they had killed with Luigi's steely stare, which I couldn't use because it wasn't available yet so there was one slow enemy chasing the team & it kept 2 enemies from spawning, and that ended up helping because there was another point where they used steely stare again & I couldn't use it but since those enemies didn't spawn I ended up not needing it & was able to continue through to the end. No damage at all. Have to use right skill tree settings for this walkthrough to work & not get damage.

It's easier to glitch your way to upgrading all skills fully, since the glitch is so easy to pull off. Unless you want a "clean" run that is.

This game wasn't good at making challenges wasn't it, the hard part is not accidentally friendly fire your teammates with Rabbid Mario's dash, otherwise this would be a breeze, as well Toad moving like a freaking sloth. But hey, real final battle huh. Just going to like the video so I can have an easier time with this madness, at least I'm one of those people that doesn't shy around asking for help. But kudos for you for posting this. :)

I do too, It's only fun until the BS factor comes. Don't get me wrong, beautiful looking game and incredible music. When it comes to certain challenges that's where it's downhill. Just my opinion, I already 100% the game.

@@MarioStrikers dude what BS Factor? I'd agree with you slightly for ultimate challenge 1 but all the other ones are completely fair. If you're having trouble with rabbit Mario's Dash just lower the blast radius and be smarter about your spacing, there's no BS Factor there you just have to be smart about it, and yes toad moves slow which is why they give you 30 turns, sometimes you're not even going to want to go the max distance anyways you're just going to want to go take cover, even then I was able to do this challenge on my fourth try with Mario, rabbid luigi and Rabbid Mario in 19 turns

That's what I did afterwards, lowing Rabbid Mario's rabbid slide kick a bit. I mean, it was annoying that I had to do that because my normal strat wasn't working. I actually didn't had much problems with the first two, thanks to Rabbid Luigi's vampire slide. The last two felt like there was just very little room for error and the stages were long as heck, It didn't felt fun nor even a proper challenge in my book.

@@Ld17_ yes, yes and yes. The problem was the enemies, for example, at 3:45 you see 2 Sherbet Smashers but I faced 3 of them. And at 4:11 the 2 Lava Smashers went down the pipes but when I used Magnet Dance, they approached Mario and Luigi instead. So with the enemies doing different things, I had to adjust to the changes.
