I was at this concert! We were lucky enough to be given backstage passes and watched them playing from behind the curtain. It was an incredible experience. We had a lot of fun hanging with the band and showing them around the city. Despite Mario's cooler than cool façade on stage, he had an incredible sense of humour and kept us laughing most of the time, especially shopping in the toy department. Thanks for the memories!

That was the one thing that never added up with Mario and the style of his playing, always thought he would’ve been a vintage p or jazz bass? But then again, it was a sign of the times and also something that made his sound special and more than just a “throwback.”
