The scenery took longer to set up for this video than for any other so far: each time we changed scenery it would take between 5 and 20 minutes to move everything around, depending on how similar it was to the previous scenery.

Personally I think it's one of my better episodes - I just hope people haven't been put off by the sad ending. Setting up the scenery for filming was a pain though, so I might avoid using sand in future...

It went quite smoothly overall - it took about a day to decide how to do it and get it all done. I did the mushroom template for the cap and then I based the rest of the whole body off my small Toad. It's probably slightly easier than making a Yoshi.

Actually this is the first time I'm making a tutorial for a plush which I haven't made myself - that Yoshi isn't my creation (you can see he has a tag) but I'll be making one in a similar way to how that Yoshi was made. I have no idea how it will turn out. I'll do a Whacka tutorial some time too.

In a few scenes you can see it falling off the board and onto the floor - such as when Yoshi is about to cross the pit. We lost more than a tenth of our sand overall - I guess it could have been worse...

Thanks, I thought it would be good to properly voice Kolorado in this episode, to give him a bit more life than just using Koopa sounds. As for Bowser, I make him speak a few times so people will understand the story - story problems were the main fall-down of my other videos and I wanted to get it right with something as compicated as this.

There's a ring of felt for the brim of the hat, and then the top is made from four pieces which have right angles at the middle. I think each of these pieces also has a dart cut into it to make it more rounded, but I can't remember.

It's just one sound, the Super Mario 64 sound, but I've only taken small chunks of it each time the bob-omb says something, so it sounds like lots of different noises. They were from the website which I've mentioned in the description.

Watch the first episode again and you'll see Waluigi takes it after Bowser puts it in the castle. So Peach writes on the map that it is in the castle, but in fact Waluigi has stolen it and at the start of this episode he is still carrying it.

All of the Paper Mario games (so far), but you don't actually have to find him for the story. In Paper Mario he's on Mt Rugged, in PMTTYD he's in Keelhaul Key, and in SPM he's in the Gap of Crag.

Yes that's right, we've had to make our own instead otherwise the video wouldn't be ready for at least another week (not what we want!). Making it took all of yesterday and most of today so far. Now that it's ready, we're filming the last scenes so I can finally get the full editing done rather than just having to edit the occasional scene, as I've been doing so far. I'm hoping it will be uploaded late on the 23rd of August, but that's not certain.

There's sand in a giant board as the flooring, then the backdrops are cardboard boxes covered by sheets/tablecloths. We use pins for attaching the signs and similar things to the walls.

It's crazy how many others used to watch this when they were younger.. I remember being 4-5 years old being obsessed with super Mario and using to recreate scenes from these videos with my super Mario plushies. I even got my dad to make two plushies from scratch with the help of this channel's tutorials. I'm 15 now! It's funny because I can remember the sheer amount of excitement all this used to bring me. I was especially jealous of the way you set up your scenes with like the building blocks and sand, using different rooms to create different worlds.. it all seemed so magical as a kid. I've always been into world building and art but man it never looked as good as these. All in all I'm a sucker for scenery, it takes effort to make it all look this cool. Hell, I think at some point I used to think that those big room layouts actually took place in the small buildings that they were shown going in. Good times. Especially as a kid who might be on the spectrum, it really fed into possibly my biggest special interest ever, bringing so much joy. Hope you know that you made a lot of our childhoods 😂❤️

This one took about 25 hours to edit - as a general average, a minute of film requires two hours of editing. That doesn't include filming either. It's a heck of a long time and it's why I find it difficult to time when the next video will be ready, and also a major reason why I don't have as many videos as I could for the time I put in.

No, I add in the sounds in the editing stage. I record video, silence it and put the sounds in with my video footage on the computer, using my editing software- you can use just about any editing software for this.

They're all just one sound: the Super Mario 64 Bob-Omb buddy sound which you hear when talking to one of the pink Bob-Ombs. I cut out little portions of the sound effect so it sounds like I have lots of different sounds when in fact it's just that one.

I found it!! This specific video is so nostalgic because I remember seeing it as a kid! It was one of the first KZbin videos I ever watched, and I’ve been looking for this for a while since I vaguely remembered it for its nostalgia. They're added in after filming, in my video editing software. What I do is I mute the sound on the recording so you don't hear any of our voices.

I've made my own instead of waiting for it to arrive in the post. Filming is now finished and I've edited 11 minutes of video so far... I'm not what the final length will be, but it looks likely to be my longest video yet.
