If you watch Revamped Insane Route, not sure if anyone's noticed but instead of Mario moving on, like in the original; he mentions 'it's not checkmate' and that he'll 'beat Alice' and then mentions he'll kill anyone that gets in his way. This leads to my theory that Mario could be getting 'influenced'-?ish- by Alice but resists letting her win because he just wants to leave, similar to how Alice 'just wants to' complete the ritual. Marchionne's right; they're both greedy. But Mario wasn't greedy at first. He wanted to leave, but now that everyone he loves is dead, he JUST wants to leave; JUST. Just a theory though!
