This Rap Battle GENUINELY feels like 2 titans clashing, this is not just a matchup, this a legacy fight, this is the 2 most influenceal gaming Characters to ever exist and this Rap Battle COMPLETELY captures that feeling It doesn't have just 2 verses like most battles do, it first has 2 LONG-ASS verses, then changes the pace to a rapid Back and Forth, then switches back to finish it all with another verse, this just SCREAMS "MACRO" "MAXI" "XL", it's big, it just feels like it's WAY MORE than a simple Rap Battle, this feels legendary in a way All accompanied by an EXTREMELY "Hollow Knight-esque" beat that just elevates this to something that FEELS different and superior because IT IS Sure the Writing is incredible, with the crazy wordplay and references to so many Zelda titles and even factors outside of the Franchises, from the Game Awards and that ending which referenced Death Battle, the flow is simply catchy, not much else to say about it, it is good, it feels like rap, it is rap, the visuals are stunning, with the constantly spinning camera and the backgrounds being so dynamic, the cameos were spectacular, this is THE FIRST battle featuring Mario where cappy is an active protagonist and not just thrown in as a reference, and also Navi being annoying as fuck by interrupting Mario's first verse just before it ended was such a nice touch, the voice acting was ON POINT, really managed to catch the feeling Link gives even if he's a mute protagonist, and the beat, as said already, just feels "legendary" if you can say so, BUT It all just pales in comparison to what all these positive traits merge to form, the ENERGY of this battle This is a whole ass 30+ year long rivalry we're talking about, and just this being a 4 minutes long battle really sells that point, but ALL of the Positive Traits I talked about above really make you understand how IMPORTANT of a MatchUp this is This is MOTHERFUCKING "Mario VS Link" and I love it Keep up this godly work because this shit is fucking 10/10 ❤

This is an amazing battle, one of the best from SIR, likely the best. The animation is unique, the fight’s back and forth, and it manages to use these worn-out characters and still give creative disses. I didn’t expect a Link vs Cloud 2 Death Battle reference, but it was pulled off really well. If I had to pick a winner, Link, but just by the smallest hair. His Yoshi rant was amazing, and it had a lot of emotion behind it. Can’t wait for more of this level of battle.

This battle was excellent! I'm a casual fan of both characters so this was excellent to see. That last line could also be interpreted in several ways as well: 1. Calling Link "Clouded to agreeing to another match" obviously references Death Battle's Link vs Cloud 2, but also... 2. ... It could also be interpreted as Mario dissing Link for losing, since Mario also got a rematch and won against Sonic. Regardless if that was intentional or not, this battle was phenomenal on all fronts! Great job.

Even tho i already complimented the HELL out of this battle before, i feel like i still should leave a comment to help, so WHATEVER. I'll go straight to the point: this is just FREAKING majestic, from the start to the end. Just the little detail of showing both characters first designs to the newest ones is just a freaking genius idea, cuz it also matches with how their aggressiveness levels up, during the battle. I haven't been this hyped while watching a battle ever since Guy Fawkes vs Robin Hood, and trust me: that def SAYS something here. This is one of the best things to exist on this planet, period. The matchup is one so simple yet the final product is just jam-packed with amazement of all kinds. This battle isn’t a standard one with just two rounds of each side dissing each other; instead, the battle begins with full-length sixteen-line long verses for each, then a round where each side teams up with their respective companion (which I didn’t expect; that was a great surprise that made the battle even better), then a section where each the two sides go back and forth quickly, and finally, standard verses from each side as finishers. But that’s not all I have to say. The amount of references from both characters’ franchises and variety of disses from each is also worth pointing out. The voice acting cast is also something I want to focus on. Two of my favorite FRB community VAs (RaccoonBroVA and garbageGothic) within this project let alone teaming up is something worth pointing out (I also adore it when the latter voices cute/bright/silly characters whenever that occurs). But I must not also forget about McGuinnsBook (who nailed Super Mario) and Eddiefrb’s cameo; they also did amazing. All in all, this is probably the best battle you’ve ever made, even rivaling the masterpiece that is Lofi Girl vs. Kousei Arima (which is still one of the best rap battles I’ve listened to). Rayyan, you’ve grown and learned a lot as a content creator of a rap battle channel, and I might even subscribe to you with such masterpieces from and underrated channel. Lastly, and I know this topic is getting repetitive by this point but I just really want to know some things about it for the time being, what’s the status on the Homura battle? In other words, has your decision on remaking it against someone who has more material been made yet or not? And if it has and you’ll remake it, will her alternate form still be used? (I ask this because you mentioned that said idea would be/was used in the Homura rap battle) Edit: Forgot to mention that the actual video and its edits look clean, fresh, and aesthetically pleasing and my winner for this battle. This was SUPER close, and that’s part of the reason why I love it (I often like it when rap battles are close; they are fair in that regard), but I think I’ll go ahead and give Mario the win, though by a bare amount, as I really enjoy the heck out of Link’s performance as well.

Yeah, this rap battle was... cool, actually! I really liked the beat and the verses themselves. RaccoonBro and McGuinns did great as their respective characters, and it was nice to see Navi and Cappy help out during the second verses for both. As for who I thought won, both did extremely well here, but as a Death Battle fan, I gotta give it to Mario for ending the battle with a reference to the end of Link vs Cloud 2. I didn't expect it, but it was a nice surprise to be sure. But like I said, both did very well here and, in the words of Wiz, this _is_ an extremely close match.

That was pretty incredible overall, the visuals were great, the beat was nice, the bars were clever, overall I liked it. In regard to who won, both went hard but I think Mario won overall. Edit: After several more listens, gotta actually give it to Link, though Mario definitely had good lines.
