I mean tbh, that was what Tropical Freeze was. It's nowhere near as wacky as Wonder not because it couldn't but because that's not what it was going for. The Dkc games were always leaning towards a "grounded fantasy: approach to its levels. But the game was still insanely creative, nevertheless.

3:16 I spent nearly 3 hours on this search party all because of that one flower medal thing. Believe me when I said I tried everything. I even tried swapping out characters thinking the hidden blocks are related. I felt so stupid after looking up the solution to this. They made that look like an inaccesible part of the wall and I definitely paid that part all the time. This was one of the only 5 times in the game where I looked out how to solve parts of the game

I'm glad someone recognized this badge as the Galaxy spin, so many people say Propeller Mushroom with exceptions even though the only real exception to the galaxy spin is the lack of damage 4:28 great edit 4:33 i kinda wish that getting squished as drill would automaticalyl force you right into any terrain that drill can go through (in this case, the ceiling) 6:27 LOOOOL

I thought the Drill would be just okay but taking out enemies above you and traversing through floors and ceilings is super fun. Plus, definitely the best power-up suit across the board.

1:50 And that's why even though I haven't played Wonder yet, the badges are the best part of the game. They really promote going back to other levels and playing them over and over again with different badges and power up combos. The replayablility + speed runs for this game are gonna be sick!

Yoooooooooooooo, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat was so much fun. I loved that! Took some getting used to with the Bongo controls, but loads of fun once I got the hang of it. Nice to know it's still fondly remembered by others! I'd really love to see another Donkey Kong platformer in the future. It's been so long.
