4:56 is doable shroomless at least in mk8, but it is very hard. You have to glide up a bit, then go down turning on the right of the leftmost pipe, the camera changes rapidly when you get it

These are great shortcuts, but it doesn’t really shave off much time. That’s where Mario kart Wii’s shortcuts come in. You got amazing shortcuts like the bc3 shortcut, the gap jump, the dk summit double, and more. I just wish Mario kart 8 was more explorable.
