I tried this at a social without even having practiced and it worked first try! 😁 Don’t worry people this one is easier than it looks

Love the explanation - simple and neat 😚 There's one bit that has me confused. For the follower, when going back to the close position, from the extended leg open position (pardon my English ^^') I understand Elena's suggestion to regroup the legs (thus the movement of the follower's left foot is a bit linear towards the position of the wave). But were I the follower (which I've never done in bachata 🤔) I'd instinctively do a kind of rondé / rond de jambe led by the upper body - the leg being dragged at first. And you can add speed with the leg during the rotation to close the position before the wave. I guess it'd be a nice variation for followers. Does it make sense ? I hope so 😅 Anyhow, love your videos ! (Discovered your channel a few weeks ago, very inspiring !)

Heeeey. Thank you 😁 What you wrote makes sense. That might be instinct to say so... especially because when as dancers we do something... we tend to go into what we know. But after you make distinctioms between signals/moves... your body/mind learns when/how to go into certain moves. 😁

Hmmm... didn't saw that :D Post a link. I am very interested if it's the same technique.

Yes. This is teachable to intermediate students (around 6 to 1 year of experience). In our country this is very used for catching accents or for finishing a song.
