The chat around the 40 minute mark is such a red flag. Yam makes such great videos and analyses and it makes me so upset seeing people give random "critiques" and rude remarks on her design when not only is that a known to be a bad thing to do to begin with, but she's had a 2.0 design/model in the works for a while too. Her big nose and style of her eyes are key features to her character, so it's really annoying seeing people act like it looks bad and makes Yam 1.0 a bad design just because those are uncommon features when it comes to vtube designs

45:24 I do like Yam's fruit-bat-girl-vtuber design looks cute, but I kinda see what people were commenting on. It's kinda odd to have orange highlights on the wings when the highlights of her hair, ears and nose are yellow. The bow also seems to have a different texture than the rest of the model, a different art style. Some may say that the color of the bow clashes with her model, but several have made that work, and without being able to see the rest of her model I can't make that judgement. Sorry if this wasn't what you intended, it's just that it was brought up so many times I figured I'd put in what I feel to be constructive criticism. I'm certainly enjoying what she's had to say so far.

the concept was nice but i kinda fell like the design is odd, idk, i like her videos but i just can get myself to watch them bc pf that. not talking that i only found out shes a bat now, i thought sha was a chicken or some other kind of bird. its not really obvious, ik

Let’s be honest the only reason why people have a problem with it is the nose because it’s unconventional. Most vtuber fans don’t have the character design analytical abilities to think that the orange is odd with the yellow. They just see a “weird” nose and think “Ew it’s not anime so I don’t like it”
