I agree- the impact was immense. I also felt extremely isolated because I was in Vietnam at the time of his death; I knew in NYC, my home, that everyone was mourning & celebrating his music, but in Hanoi, it wasn’t acknowledged. Definitely cried a lot...

I've only just seen this (Oct 2018). I'm also a huge Bowie fan and a big Chameleons fan. Bowie died as I was flying back to the UK - literally an African Night Flight. Jan 10th 2016 was the last time I saw my father alive, he died in September of that year. I was told by friends when I got back that Bowie had died, it was a huge shock. I wrote a tribute poem every day for a week after Jan 10th and left copies at the mural in Brixton at the end of January. 2016 was a bad year but we have to move on. I know Mark is a big fan of DB and I like The Chameleons' frantic version of John, I'm Only Dancing. As others have said here, take care Mark; you're just a couple of years younger than me but Time is passing. I wonder if somewhere in the back of your mind you wonder why The Chameleons weren't as big as U2. I'm sure all the fans love and appreciate your work. I bought four copies of The Script of the Bridge, it is surely one of the best debut albums ever. Keep doing the interviews as well, I always enjoy hearing what you have to say.

In the beginning it is loud because Mark is describing the background music. After the Bowie impersonations are done, the audio is adjusted.
