Korean foreign national comes and gets two degrees in the US socialist academia system, one in business and the other in Chinese, which is easily several hundred thousand dollars in tuition, THEN proceeds to come out with serious capital, no debt, and cash in the bank... She also speaks English with a Chinese accent (that's not Korean). I'd be interested to know her familial roots because one of the most common ways Chinese spies operate in the US is exactly this scenario. They recruit promising candidates from Chinese families in other countries and fund them, meanwhile A LOT of money, technology, patents and information are going back over to China in exchange. I mean obvious getting the exposure from the show is given. But to say she didnt value the sharks at all is not true. Just because she doesnt need their money doesny mean she doesnt value them. I believe she wanted the exposure and obviously the contacts and ability the shark could bring with a deal but she just doesnt value them that much. Dont forget that these are sharks, if you watch the show youd notice they always want to feel valued, it's not so much what something is really worth its about them feeling like they are valued. For instance if someone comes in with a super low valuation but with decent numbers then negotiate with the % and make it seem like they give in to the shark, the shark wouldve bought it, provided they're already interested. Then again there are other factors like the person presenting, sometimes you can pull off doing that, without the shark calling you out for lowball offer only to raise it a little and all. I think it's not fair to say that she doesnt value the shark, because there clearly is a value, just not the one the shark wants. The sharks often dont do deal if they dont get the offer they want, even if they actually value that company higher, because they would never lower their offer and look like their begging for a deal unless it's a business they really really want. The same goes with people coming in, if your business is doing okay and you dont have shortage of money, you already have some upper hand against the shark, so her valuing them less is appropriate.

Man he called that little girl a gold digger on tv then they tried to make it seem like she was stealing money from the poor for getting on the show when “someone less fortunate” could of had her slot. Like Marc Cubans passed up lucrative opportunities so another less fortunate business man could have it. I don’t know that white hair British dude but im with him. He was sticking up for that girl. Rich people just talk to people anyway they want. It takes courage for some people to go on tv infront of millions of people and ask for money. Even if she did it for the exposure “gold digger” a foul thing to call someone especially a woman.

@@Shakedownsss No... He's right. His idea wasn't that "you have to be less fortunate", but instead, "You have to be looking for an investment", which is what she WAS NOT looking for. What other word could be used to describe that situation? Clout-chaser? Seems too unprofessional.
@mostpassiveuser89042 жыл бұрын
The show has been going on for years. There's enough slots and being there is no guarantee of success. Jimmy Kimmel was there once. Also calling a woman a gold digger is like calling a man a deadbeat dad. It's extremely humiliating.
@victorjones99512 жыл бұрын
This was greatly unfair. If there is criteria that one must be low on cash, that should be screened by the producers. The "golddigger" reaction felt greatly insulting on several levels.

@leafyutube2 жыл бұрын
She clearly did not need the money, but was obviously there for promotion and free advertisement. Smart lady but the sharks were on to her and Cuban called her out. I see no problem with his remark.
@Aquiescence2 жыл бұрын
I think it's really unfair to make it seem like her fault for being on the show. Isn't there screening done by the producers? If she was truly going against the spirit of the show, don't let her on. Otherwise, I don't blame her in the slightest even if she were "only going on for a commercial". I'm betting there are plenty of companies that do that or would do that. When you're an entrepreneur, good ones will do anything to get an edge and I think applying to be on this show is fair game. If you really want to filter this out, go tell the producers to add some more rigor to the process or cut out giant valuation asks, otherwise going after her like that was way too harsh and uncalled for.
@benlai57522 жыл бұрын
Mark's reaction only came after she declares that she had raised 2.8mil and got like 2.3 mil in the bank. on the back of that and her valuation, thats when Mark and Daymon got upset. i don't think the producer will have all those information before the pitch.
