Listening to Mark talk about pharmaceutical companies really struck a cord as it relates across the whole medical sector in America. I'm from U.K and will never forget breaking my wrist in California as a 14 year old, my Mam had full insurance but couldn't get in contact with them due to time difference. I'll never forget my Mam having to pay $10700, that was just to see a doctor, get an xray and a cast. It seems so absurd that Americans have to pay for such necessities. The amount of people who will suffer and/die due to this is incomprehensible to me. She got money back when we returned and put claim in.

Just a truck driver here. The best advice I’ve heard from Mark. Don’t just be a consumer be an owner, if you own a $1000 Apple iPhone then you should own $1000 worth of Apple stock. Best decision I’ve made was to follow this advice.

My dad had Leukemia and needed an anti-fungal drug, pharmacy said it was 5k a month asked the doctor if he truly needed it and if there was anything else he could take or if we could get it cheaper, he was no help said he needed it to live. Thankfully we found a "coupon" that got the cost down to $300 a month but it was still a big cost with everything else he needed. My dad ultimately passed from the cancer but the costs involved were insane, thankfully he had great insurance that covered most of his expenses, the treatments bought us a couple years of time with him.
