Hunt never said such thing anywhere in any interview so far, and according to his Wikipedia page he was born & raised in south Auckland NZ, so in that sense he's a Kiwi (New Zealander) and Samoan by race/ethnicity, but yeah he keeps shuttling between these two states for training (Australia & NZ).

It was a sad day when PRIDE and K1 deteriorated, but thanks to Dana for buying off PRIDE even though only a handful of my favorite fighters were transferred to the UFC. There were so many legendary fighters in PRIDE and K1, I hope they're all doing fine.
