Nothing is going to change until this guy accepts responsibility for his situation. Fully accept it.

Yeah, I've talked to with a lot of long term addicts,( medical transportation driver taking them to rehab and detox centers daily) that's the common thread, they blame everyone but themselves for their life situation, and only want to surround themselves with other addicts that agree with everything they tell each other

Yup. Complete ownership! You can’t blame anyone else for your situation

This happens to so many people. It happened to me. I made the mistake of losing hope of getting them back, and when my oldest child tried to find me, she didn’t find me well and ready to be there for her. Although that may seem like cause to lose ALL hope, I won’t make that mistake twice. If your kids are still alive, even after they are grown, you can still let them know you are there for them if they need you, you think of them every day, that you love and are available for them. If I ever can’t find them, I’ll go on YT and send out a message every day! If that’s all I can do, I will do it consistently. That’s being a parent…it’s not for us; it’s for our kids to feel secure. If I never get anything back, that’s ok. 🤲 ❤

I'm 33 and I would still accept my father happily, with open loving arms if he would change today. You never stop needing a father.

I lost my brother to drugs he OD. And loss my other brother to cancer. I wasted 28 years on drugs. Please don't waste years out there you can't get back. I was lucky to get clean and I got to spend time with my grandchildren and now my great grands. I've been clean 30 years. Yes I'm a old lady now but I got to have my life back. Want to see you live yours sweetie. Sending love your way.

It's sad how drugs can take hold of some people and destroy their capabilities but there is always hope because of God/Jesus. I appreciate the perspective of these interviews with understanding and talking. Unless you have struggled similarly, it is hard to understand people like this but deep inside they are still people who have feelings, they are God's children too and deserve a platform. As a Social Work Graduate and living through crazy situations, and being a Christian, I understand every perspective.

I pray this man repents of his sin and turns to the true and living God Jesus Christ the God Man. He must own up to his faults and realize his drug use is the problem of why he doesn’t have his son. Praying for him.

But but but, dude your mom just lost the love of her life and the 1rst thing you do is to threaten to take away the only other love she had, and you think this shit is her fault??? Bro I'm recovering and have been off Xanax for over 2 years now and my daughter won't even speak to me... You have a long way to go before you will be forgiven... It takes year's not day's, I hope you watch this and have a moment of clarity!!! Don't replace 1 addiction drugs with another false truth, "God" get a hobby not a fairy tale, good luck!!!
