Young ppl just wanna argue but Pippen, Harper were gonna do that to you too. Reggie got no room to breathe. I get guys fire long range now but not many guys body up like that anymore. Lebron was a DPoY level defender for a bit and has always been a near All NBA defender. KD has been an elite defender the past 3-4 years (was in the DPoY convo in 2017 i think due to his super high def. rating and leading the league in blocks for like 2 months) but he's always had guys like Kawhi and PG outshadowing him. Harden has played decent/sometimes lockdown defense since like 2018 too. Then again, MJ is the GOAT for a reason.

Michael Jordan always defended the best player, and if a guy got hot Jordan would switch onto him, he took it personally if a guy thought he was going to outscore him in a game. Bottomline MJ was Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, and Serena Williams, the only Athletes that I have ever seen that were true champions, they rarely beat themselves and even when you have them down they are never out, and MJ was the greatest at that his will to win, his desire to not lose is what will always set Jordan apart, and not to mention MJ played in era of 7ft rim protecting big men who took pride in not getting dunked on, and he dunked on everybody. Fastball Films not sure if you understand how offensive fouls work. When you initiate the contact in the defensive players space, they will call that an offensive foul. Players can’t forearm or even hand check player these days, it gives the offensive player better opportunity to play face up, thus giving the offensive player more freedom and creativity to make plays. It’s prettier and more marketable type of basketball but definitely not as challenging in terms of finding your own shot.

Playmaking is not just looking to get an assist but move the ball to find the best shot available for the team.
