Have to say I LOVE Cimema Paradiso remindes me of my Aunt. She used to tell me stories about going to the picutrues when she was a kid and was basically exactily what happened in the film.

Can you guys have someone adjust the lights which illuminate The Good Doctor. I hate seeing the highlights blowing out his beautiful face

As a young person I would say The Innocents is my favorite Black & White movie

I've never seen Cinema Paradiso, now I'm conflicted about which version to buy, lol

Can I contradict you Mark. The Innocents is most definately not getting a wide release. I live in Manchester and it's nowhere near me. The only cinema I've found showing it this weekend is Curzon Mayfair which is about 200 miles from me. Cinema Paradiso is much wide, showing at the Cornerhouse in Manchester.

"Celebrating it's 25th anniversary..." should read "Celebrating its 25th anniversary."

I bought the collector's edition of Cinema Paradiso when I was a teenager but was disappointed by how cheesy it felt when I saw it. I suppose I need to revisit it.

This wasn't a review of Cinema Paradiso, this was some guy who didn't want to be at work- farting.

I’m a British person and this person who is talking in this video is British hasn’t got a clue about a beautiful movie like Cinema Paradiso. This person thinks that The Exorcist is the best movie ever. It’s not. It’s a really good horror movie. But to have this guy as our a critic should be revalued as a subpar movie. It’s not. Fo away. Your review of Cinema Paradiso made sick to my stomach.

Come on, he’s just offering his own opinion on the film. So what if his idea of cinema paradiso is different to yours! Everybody is different and has their own views and opinions. That’s the amazing thing about cinema. People can have entirely different ideas, interpretations and opinions on different films. Movies can speak different things to different people. What might say a million words to one man might say nothing to another. Now I’m also British and love cinema paradiso, but I totally respect Mark’s opinion. I don’t think it’s very fair of you to call him out in such a childish and naive way just because he didn’t connect with the film in the same way that you did.

Must say I don't think you are British. No one would introduce themselves as "I'm a British person". Also Brits rarely say "movie" British people say "film" - Americans say movie. Also Mark Kermode is SO well known that it is unlikely that someone who is interested in film from the UK would describe him as "This person..." If you want to criticise him fine but he is also equally free to criticise whatever films he likes - hence him being a film critic and you dont need to offer your views as "a British person" in some attempt to bolster your position.

@@rozz7531 It was aimed at people who wouldn’t know who Mark Kermode is, as people from outside of the UK might not have heard of him. And look closely to, why I chosen the word “movie” instead of the word “film”. That’s right.....it’s for the wider audience. You can see that these are fitting together, can’t you. It’s called structure, with a pinch of consideration. I really enjoyed talking about how I structured my youtube comment. But, to talk about Mark Kermode - he gets paid for what he does, and I don’t think he’s very good at what he does. That’s my point of view. Happy now?

@@teletextpear2525 You can put a back narrative on what you wrote all you like. Think Kermode is sleeping easy after your critique.
