Lead guitarist, singer, songwriter for Dire Straits, solo artist and iconic rock legend Mark Knopfler is one of the most successful musicians of the 20th and 21st centuries. As the front man of Dire Straits he recorded 6 albums as well as one of the most commercially successful albums of all time "Brothers in Arms". As a solo artist he has produced 9 albums and has composed and produced many film scores including The Princess Bride, Wag the Dog and many more. He has collaborated and worked as a session musician with a broad range of artists such as Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Elton John, Sting, B.B. King and Bryan Ferry to name a few.
