There was a song by Mark Knopfler that I heard around the time the "Wag the dog" soundtrack came out. From what I remember the song had lyrics about the sea, the sail, the sailor, or maybe about a sailor's or fisherman's wife. Does anyone know what the name of that song is? I really liked it back then, and I'd love to hear it again.

Could it be Darling Pretty by MK. I am not sure it fits your description exactly but may be close and was released 2 yrs earlier so you may have heard it then Other songs could be: Sailing To Philadelphia In The Sky

@@n.m.sh.8706 Just two more suggestions: 1. Dream Of The Drowned Submariner. It is a gorgeous song about a submariner and his daughter. or 2. Golden Heart (this one is more obscure that it is about a sailor. Another beautiful song).
