💯 that’s exactly what I believe too. His parents has also said that he would befriend roaches and mice. They were always on the road so they didn’t have any friends and missed out on his childhood. That was just a money grab attempt by those kids parents when MJ stop supporting them financially.

Regardless - Michael was a damaged individual. His loss of childhood, celebrity isolation, wealth and power - all contributed to his weirdness, manifested in his facial deformities. Having entourages of yes people around him, enabled Michael's weirdness.
