Paul Revere & The Raiders were always one of my favorite Bands. No one could Match Paul's Stage Presence & Humor. When Mark left the Band and Carlo Driggs replaced him as good as Mark was Carlo was THE BEST LEAD SINGER THE BAND EVER HAD. A voice with an incredible octave range & emotion & energy and giving all that he had along with the Band. The BEST LINEUP- PAUL, CARLO, OMAR MARTINEZ, RON FOOS, DOUG HEATH, DANNY KRAUSE. R.I.P. PAUL & CARLO 🎤🕇🌷🎹🕇🌷📻

Paul Revere and the Raiders played at Romon's Restaurant and Lounge in Akron Ohio back in the late 70's, and I had the honor of all of them staying with me and my family in our home for the week that they were here!

That must have been a lot of fun. Just several years earleri I was moping because I missed seeing them at Hara Arena near Dayton. They were my favorites at that time. Although I am not as tall, I looked amazingly similar to him up until he was 30.

Loved the Raiders since they played our small town of Aberdeen Washington back in the early '60s. (YMCA, Vasa Hall and Harborena).

Curt Brennan ..Wow Aberdeen! I’m a native of Washington and yes that is a small town. (My mom was born in Hoquiam) And lucky you!! I was in love with Mark Lindsay, and the Raiders. I wish I was older then, I was born in 1957 so I missed seeing them and others. I always loved music as long as I can remember. The sixties was the best time ever. I may be considered old, but I don’t care! I’m grateful that I lived turning that great time. ❤️

@@barbarosa788 Ask your mom if she ever went swimming at the Hoquiam Pool.....I was a lifeguard and swimming teacher there in the late '60s. And as for our age, my feelings are this: "I may be getting older......but I REFUSE to grow up!" I'm a Raiders fan from WAYYY BACK!! Another good band from the PNW were actually from Aberdeen and they were called the "Beachcombers" headed by Hoquiam's KHOK radio DJ Stan Foreman (later went to KJR in Seattle). Here's their best known song, an instrumental called "The Wheelie" and the video actually shows photos of Aberdeen back in the '60s.....it's a HOOT!! Ask your mom if she remembers any of this. ;-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXKvpZ2oe95ka9E&ab_channel=TimMills

NICE CONCERT, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHY IT CAN'T BE SHARED. LOOKS LIKE THEY WOULD WANT IT OUT THERE..?
@RaiderRooter-em8gu6 жыл бұрын
xshuman, when I first posted the video, the tour was still ongoing, so I didn't want to get into trouble with the promoters if some bootlegger took my video and created a product for sale. By posting the overlay, I make it clear that it is not for sale. Also asking people to support the artists by buying tickets to the show. Also, it was a lot of work for me to try and hold the camera steady throughout Mark's performance and worrying about some usher or security person throwing me out for video recording. So, I prefer that people view the video on my channel since I did the work. I can't monotize it, and I don't make a dime off of it. I'm supporting Mark Lindsay here and I don't want someone to rip Mark off by using the video somewhere else, especially for money.

There is no question they were a powerful 60s group and Lindsay was a very popular lead singer. KICKS was certainly a great song. But I saw him around 2006 and he impressed me as a bit disoriented. I always suspected the dark glasses may have been connected to drug use (unlike the message in KICKS).
@RQahtahn2 жыл бұрын
No, he has very poor eyesight-legally blind since Raider days. His choreography leaves a LOT to be desired, and he likes to “embellish” the songs rather than just singing them like the should be.
