For the last, well, I can't tell you how many years, I have attended the Gaither Family Fest in Gatlinburg, TN. It's 3 days of concerts and family fellowship, with a morning session and an evening concert. If you ever want to experience God's love, multiplied many times over, you should check it out. I must have been under a rock until this past Christmas one of my all time favorite Christmas songs is O Holy Night beautiful song. Then I came across Mark Lowry Mary Did You Know Mark’s voice is truly GOD given it is the most Beautiful song I have ever heard in honor of the Blessed Mother and her son Jesus Christ or Lord. I listen to this song almost every morning at least two times. Such an emotional song that describes the life of a Mother who was granted the ultimate honor of bringing our savior into this world watching him do so many wonderful things and then having to endure watching her son dying for all of us even those who don’t believe. You know that I am getting close to 70 and for many years I have always been in awe in Mary that someone an earthly mother went through so much and to see her son go through so much and what strength and faith to know that her son was the son of our Heavenly Father. Five years after this was published here, and undoubtedly many more years after it was written, it is a testament to greatness that folks are still commenting positively as little as 2 weeks before me [in August, 2017 (the 29th, to be precise)]. Thank you, Mark Lowry, for writing/singing this song. As a woman who has borne children, it speaks volumes to me. As a Christ-follower, it humbles me. As a God-worshipper, it awes me. As a Spirit-listener, it gives me what I call "Holy Spirit goose-bumps"!!! As a singer and musician, it inspires me. It doesn't have to be near Christmas time to imagine the utter amazing-ness - the reality that seemed to be beyond reality - that was the virgin birth to Mary and those around her. Thank you for making it real to us, as well.
