Pure coincidence. I'm a fan of both Marks. Today I did discover Morton's solo work, and this beautiful song of course, just one day after Lanegan passed out. RIP Mark Lanegan.

I am a fringe friend and utter worshipper of my man Dark Mark Lanegan. I could give zero shits about Lamb of God but i must give a massive shout out to Morton for putting Mark right into the zone where he could conjur up what has become an instant classic and quite possibly the most brutal, raw, and genuine space that a collaborative artist has ever given Lanegan to crawl through the ooze and slime of.. Normally, I cannot bear to listen to a single song over and over again, but, man...whew.. Rest Easy Brother Mark. The poet, the criminal, the madman, the sinner, the saint..another gem left for us schmucks unworthy to even speak of.. So dont take my word or words, just hit REPEAT and consider yourself blessed to be in the presence of the junk rock gods. If ever there were a tune to justify a "cheat day" in the realm of the black fix, after being such a good boy for a spell... I sit here and listen and cackle to myself, Lanegan still throwing me gifts from the beyond...

I'm so glad Morton was able to get Lanegan on a track. It's a shame this was one of Lanegan's final recordings, he and Morton coulda been a great duo.

Mark Lanegan has a cool voice. One of my favorites. I read in Guitar World Magazine that Morton changed the music around after Lanegan recorded his part. I'm curious what it sounded like in it's original form.

That would have been epic. Would have loved one with Metallica, Judas priests and iron maiden. I think he should have gotten an instrumental on here. With zakk wylde, and some other baddasses. After the mark lanegan song , i think an awesome pepper keenan with that COC sound would have been awesome too.

Only decent song on the album. I remember being bummed when it came out and heard it. Lanegan was a good person for agreeing to lay vocals down on such mediocrity.
