Mark O'Connor is a truly remarkable violinists' and performer. His beautiful tone in Amazing Grace is so very warm.

Mark - can do it all....new method is out - patterned after Suzuki 10 volumes...Mark stoops to kids, and is great...with them, too. Listen to his later classical works and study his movement - American Classical - Berklee College of Music Camps every summer in June. Most amazing person on violin in every genre I have ever heard. Fiddle COncerto, Improvised Concerto, String Quartets, Symphonies..Fanfare TO the Volunteer, Midnight on the Water like Pagannini. He doesn't just FIDDLE!

Excuse the strange observation, but I think the "Orange Blossom Special" portion of the video has some of the best video editing I have seen.

Agreed, SW ; His solo album 'False Dawn', from years ago, is also an eclectic stunner, showcasing his composition skills as much as his virtuosity as a player ; Still, one of my favorite albums

The end of another symphony orchestral tradition in the United States. "Ratings have flagged in recent years, he said. The broadcast company believes it will make more money showing reruns of its regular programming, he said...'The CBS show of the Pops show does not draw the numbers it used to,' Mugar said.
