At 23:17 I was just like wowww lmao you could open a tackle shop with all that gear lol I have the eos 12ft 3.5tc rods x2, the 10000 eos reels x3, eos spod and marker rod and the eos compact 42inch landing net 2pc handle. I’m after a black label rod pod but a little steep at the minute not gonna lie so forked out for the saber supra compact pod which is pretty similar, but yeah my fox gear is coming along nicely, great vids Mark and hopefully 1 day I can fish your lake. Going to continue watching these carp life episodes so I’m upto date with everything. Tight lines mate 👍🏼 eos all the way lol

Hi Mark, the lake you were floater fishing in between sections. Carpvale Pool. The water looked physically 'blue'. Was this lake suffering blue/green algae at the time of filming or was the water just genuinely that colour. I know sections of the Grantham Canal near to me (where you filmed one of the Challenges) have added a dye to the water to combat excessive weed growth. Could it have been something like that? Thanks
@MarkPitchers6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. Yeah they added blue dye to help control the weed.
@markpoyser40756 жыл бұрын
Mark Pitchers thank for the info. Incidentally, the Grantham Canal where you filmed one of the challenges has recently produced a 15 and a 20. I have fishing it recently for bream and tench and I was informed of the carp captures. Not a huge fish in your world, but when you consider the size of the water, it’s a nice one.

Hi Mark, I bought one of the fox spombs the other day and while I much prefer the loading process I really struggled to retrieve the thing once cast. I've tried every rod angle and retrieve speed I can think of but it still returns like a foul hooked duck, am I missing a trick here? Any advice would be appreciated and I hope all is well with you and the family

Top off, no homo. Well, maybe a bit.... But anyway maybe a tip for you, I use Sansai Biorex for my koi pond. I mix it in with the pellets and it helps them lots, it is full of good bacteria and helps them build up their resistance. (edit) Nice vid btw, enjoyed it as usual.

@MarkPitchers6 жыл бұрын
Hi Foxy, yes there will be one swim with good disabled access. My only concern is that is is weedy, and some fish may need to be landed from the boat, but if you have a friend that can help then it will be no probs at all :)

Mark don’t apologise for anything. It’s not showing off. You work bloody hard to get what you have and spend lots of time away from friends and family which is a tough job in itself. Tight lines. May book a tutorial if I can save enough cash!!
@MarkPitchers6 жыл бұрын
Hiya Lee. Thanks mate. Yeah it is really tough being away from home as much as I am, I miss the kids like crazy (the missus not so much 😄) and it's hard not being there while they are growing up so fast! That would be cool, hope to see you on the bank in the future 🎣 😊👍
@leecooper40306 жыл бұрын
Mark Pitchers yeah man. Know the feeling. If it weren’t for my son I’d stay down the bank then go to work!! Kids grow up too damn quick. My Missus is ok I suppose. Better when she’s asleep!! Fingers crossed man 😁

I enjoy your vids but we don't all have thousands of pounds to spend on gear and bait. I'd like yo see you do a seasons fishing on one set of gear and the amount of bait most people can afford to buy. How much do fox pay towards your travellng expenses?

Mark Hammond watch me then 😂 I buy minimum tackle that I need and drive a S4 fishing 😂

Hi Mark, thats a bit of a personal question mate.. You have to realise that fishing is my job. You wouldn't expect an electrician to go to work with only one screwdriver, a joiner with only one saw, or a golf player to turn up to a tournament with only one club ;)

@Joeblader716 жыл бұрын
Technically I wouldn't even call it 'free' tackle - It's more like wages/commission.
@DjDolHaus866 жыл бұрын
Very few people get anything for free in the angling trade. Sponsored tends to mean that you might get to keep some pre-production stuff that you've been testing (if you're lucky) but more likely you're going to buy it from them at production cost, the sponsor sells it to you for what it cost (generally between 1/4 and 1/2 rrp) them rather than the full retail price.
@MarkPitchers6 жыл бұрын
Hi Luke, sorry if it came across like I was showing off.. At the end of the day this is my job, a job I'm very fortunate to have. Part of my job involves testing and developing new tackle and products through various stages before their final release, which means I do have lots of spares.
