Short explain in History and Geographic, Swiss, France, Wales, Scottland and of course Ireland were Celtic, middle and Northeurope (Scandinavia) were germanian. The Roman Empire hired some germanian tribes tho fight with them, like the Saxons in England or the Franconian in France against the Celtics (guess why its called France today ) greetings from Germany ( Ger is an old Word for a Spear, so Ger-Man means Men with Spears)

Chrigel Glanzmann the guy with the tin whistle and mandolin writes most if not all their stuff. He is deep. Many of their songs are either in or have Gaulish lyrics (a dead language).

I (this is Mark) was an english major, so I LOVED the lyricism of this song. Absolutely gorgeous, and it reminded me of the 19th century romantic poets. Thanks for checking this one out. Hopefully you've checked out some of our other content!

Thanks guys for an entertaining reaction to a great song. Gotta be Re-Birth (official video) next, with their current female singer, Fabienne. Very different song to this one! After that you could try their most recent release, Aidus. The video is epic. But please do the aforementioned Re-Birth first.

If you feel like giving more songs from Eluveitie (pronounced Elvaytee so you were close) I have a bunch to recommend but I’ll start with King and Re-Birth (this one is from/with their current lineup and musically it really shows off both the metal side and the folky side). Cool reaction but paused the song too much. I prefer a full song listen and then a breakdown afterwards. I think dissectioning it so much during the track kills the flow. Just my opinion of course. I love your comments btw. Just like a flow. Keep the vids coming. \m/

We pause frequently for two reasons: 1) Since 2021, KZbin's copyright algorithm has gotten more stringent, which means most of our reactions are flagged and we have to file disputes to get them unblocked. To satisfy the criteria for fair use, our reactions have to a) be transformative; b) add frequent commentary; c) not be mistaken for the original video. So we have to stop frequently if we want to be considered fair use. 2) The second reason is we personally don't like reactors who just watch the entire video, say "that was great! tell me what else to watch! like and subscribe!" We don't care for that style. We like reactors who have a voice and an opinion and actively discuss the art, so that's what we're creating. So we hope you like what we do and subscribe and stick around, but if you don't, there are a lot of other reactors out the filming reactions you like better.
