Nuno directed this video. And I believe that the simplicity of "a 90s video" is what Extreme kind of needed. This song hits hard. And while Pat and Kevin are heavily contributing to the overall punch of the song, Gary's front man presence and Nuno's guitar are grabbing you in. There's no need for a video with anything other than the band doing what they do best....playing their music. The camera work is focusing at just the right points for the song as a viewer of a video and a someone who could be standing watching them live. I've seen them live 3 times since 89 in the front row and this is the energy they give the entire show.

If youre gonna do a comeback run this is how you do it. Nuno was just letting the world know he's still one of the G.O.A.T.s and my word does it show. Now as far as Gary goes he sounds great but if you notice he waits till after the solo to really let it soar.. Def a bit more range on the outro. Great stuff guys! Liked and gladly subbed.

Time Bomb was by Rancid. I think it was an up arrow and not a cross. Sounded like a commentary on social media. Kick ass tune. Another bunch of mature rockers showing the kids how it’s done.

@jameslane9537 Godsmack's "Time Bomb" is certainly darker than what comes after the time bomb in these lyrics ("world is gonna watch as you have your final meltdown"). Godsmack's TB was more of a deep-seated, festering TB against society, just very withdrawn if I remember correctly. Here, they are referring to people getting sucked into fame and getting spit out, because of how easy it is to become pseudo-famous on social media in present time. The rest of the lyrics of the song stitch this altogether. Example....before the Tic Toc verse... "Take a bow, take a bow To the new king Ever cool is the fool Never lasting Wanted dead or alive Every king must die" (Tic Toc verse...) "They can feel it, They can taste it, Eat you up, spit you out Defecated Boy wonder Trampled under You're the chosen one" And they explain this in an interview. But I see what you mean.

@@LikeMindedLunatics Oh, I'll MAKE a chance. I worshipped Eddie, and Nuno Captures his style at the top level! Saw Satriani try to play the opening part of Mean Street and he couldn't come close. Paul Gilbert attempted Spanish Fly and it was overall a miss. There are faster players, and more technical players like Malmsteen and Eric Johnson (another fave of mine) but Eddie is just impossible to imitate really well. Thanks guys!!!

Rise is a song birthed when Stone Temple Pilots (Silvergun Superman) and Blue October (Daylight) had a baby that was delivered by Eddie Van Halen. God bless Nuno (one of the best and needs more recognition) - that tremolo picking is demonic.

That's an amazing way to put it. This tune definitely has a grungy feel to it that the stuff they were making in the 90s actually lacked. I think if this had come off Extreme III that album would have lit up the charts. 'Play With Me' not 'Come Out and Play.' Jeesh. I didn't wait 28 years for another killer Extreme song to let you stumble over all of their catalog and turn their highest charting single into a silly comedy device in a KZbin video.
