Mark Shepard has a wrestling and ecology background. A lot is coming together for me with this info. Thankful for this work, and hope to play a part.

Great presentation, throughly enjoyed it. It was very educational as well. Some day, when I have a farm I will remember Mark's valuable advice. Mark, you are a great teacher, please keep spreading the wisdom. Universe will thank you. God Bless you!

Lol I was just reading up on black raspberries and they were all saying that they weren't cold hardy and are delicate and harder to care for. I find them growing wild all over Wisconsin! No red raspberries, only black. No extra mulching in the winter. Not being wiped out by disease. Just there, not matter how much you cut it down.

Thank you!!! The details are very helpful. We are gradually finding our way in our dryland system... I loved the jurassic chickens. WE have so many flying predators that we still hide our chickens away. Hmmm- interested and trying the theory of just letting them fend for themselves...

Aha ... finally someone arranges their Mac screen like I do with the dock to the left. Anyway, this guy is amazing and his farm is incredible. Imagine if this was duplicated all over the USA, or the world for that matter.

40% of the earths surface! Thanks. Can i quote this? Is that 40% of the earths land surface or the farm-able land surface? I am trying to raise awareness of how damaging mono-crops are. I gave up grains / cereals inc corn and rice. I might use some of these products in the future but for now i have managed a reduction of 98% and i will try my best not to let this reduction go below 95% reduced grain / cereal consumption. Also trying to be aware of other mono crop products. Growing quite a bit here. Have bought very little food this year, getting closer and closer to permaculture each year. I have lots of trees on 1100M2 and i planted 10 more and let some wild trees spring up. I might still put in a fig tree and perhaps another peach later which is not bad for 1000M elevation in the French Alps.
