Mk 5 plate is probably my favourite next to the classic sneaky beaky mk 6, I particularly like the way it evokes the make do and mend attitude of WWII, although in this case Hodge-podge and bodge might be more apposite. The World Eaters made the Sarum helm, than the Mark V adopted it, and the Mark VII kept it. So I like the intimidating helmet, it is just more fearsome than the IV-X helm or the beakie VI. The mark V was a jack of all trades, and also easy to repair, which was a big bonus in the situation.

As always… A Delight. Question… well more of a statement… theory actually.. On the subject of the Chaos Gods. It is quite clear and evident that the cult of chaos and practices are less than… savory in the current setting.. however prior to the great crusade there were multiple worlds that were worshipping their own deities who were proxy to the four lords of chaos.. but many of these societies were rather healthy. So I wonder. With these societies where the lords virtues were IDEALIZED in a positive manner… were the gods truly benevolent? The gods themselves ARE shaped by millions of people and their belief… With the advent of the great crusade COUNTLESS worlds were purged of people and their faiths… so at this conjecture… IMAGINE what effect that would have on the gods when millions of worshippers die with prayers of pain, despair and rage on their lips… did the great crusade sour the gods? The warp?…. I suppose lastly… if they are truly just fickle gods… can you blame them? After the emperor borrowed power of the gods then slaughtered their peoples across the galaxy… would it not be the act of righteous gods to take vengeance on the imperium that did this?? Cheers!

This lore series or Power Armor is amazing and they just keep coming just as good as the last. Back when the Emperor and Primarch's lead the Imperium and the Legions the advancement over the short 200 years of the Great Crusade was phenomenal and efficient. Now the Imperium struggles with only new things from Cawl looking advanced but still nowhere ad far as back in the day.

The Heresy Power Armor was the best in a given situation that the Drop Site Massacre and as the Heresy continued both the Loyalists and the Traitors had to sacrifice ruin power armors and weld the useful parts to be reformed into useable power armor.

Mark III was still more Durable, and much more comfortable. Also not as strong as Mark II, Mark V's stats indicate it only gives +20 to Strength, while Mark II gives +25 Strength (Source: Deathwatch RPG, Rites of Battle, Power Armor Section)

OK Sir uncle Baldy, another one of your triffic videos which cause salivation and jubilation amongst the bretheren and sisteren, however because of this and previous armour videos I had an idea (sorry I'm an engineer at heart and a secret lemonade drinker). You know how visiting ye olde worlde castles and houses around the country brings us often into contact with plate armour? The tower of London is stuffed full of it, well the other thing that often appears is artists impressions of such armour, and I have to say it's extremely well detailed. With that in mind, couldn't WH get their bums in gear and look into such a pantheon of artistry? Or perhaps some budding wizzkid possibly produce a serious effort for our consumption? Obviously full sized Astartes armour of any mark is going to be hard to have on display at home, it's 8 feet tall fgs, but a scaled down (1/2 sized?) errrm poster or painted 3D stylized suit would look damned good. Anyway this is your fault AGAIN, you led me astray with these bonkers ideas (plus 3 new books showed up lol) thank you Sir uncle Baldy, I'm happy as a pig in doodoo again
