Mark Vincent - Mark Vincent: Creating "A Tribute To Mario Lanza"

I KNEW IT! I am 73 years old and fell in love as a child, when I saw Mario Lanza in several movies. His appearance, his unique tenor voice and the passion that set him apart from other voices...including Pavarotti's. When I first heard Mark Vincent's voice, I immediately picked up Mario's voice within Mark's.Over the years, I went on line and came across an old recording of the great Carusoe, as Mario idolized him. That's why Mario wanted to play him in the movie, "The Great Carusoe." I wanted to hear for myself if Carusoe was that great. I realize that the recording was very old, but it was clear enough to hear his voice. And I was amazed to discover, after comparing the two tenors, that Mario Lanza's voice had a deeper, richer, and passionate quality that Carusoe's didn't have.. I have heard that many tenors in past and present day, that going to see Mario Lanza sing in the movies inspired them to train their voices in operatic styles. I am not surprised that Mr.Vincent looks up to Mario Lanza as did Mario looked up to Carusoe. I am sure that Mario would be honored ,Mr Vincent, that you are playing tribute to him in many ways. Even though he had a a short life passing at the age of 37. He had so much more to offer this world and we can't let him slip from our memories. So..Bravo, Mark Vincent, your heart is full of love, and your voice is a gift from God,! Cherish them both!!

inspiring clarity of purpose. I'm 59, been singing for a few years. I'm draw to a certain thing beautiful voices, singing beautiful lyrics with beautiful music. My peers certainly don't get me. Just when I feel alone in this journey, I just discovered Mark. And what I love and why I love it but I just can't seem to articulate what exactly it is but this vendor and all the contributors said it! Wow. I stumbled across this amazing young man today. He's doing what I love but no nothing about. Never had a lesson, can't read music, don't even know the language of this art culture...lost. I've worked in auto parts my whole life and sing for fun and now more professional but still empty... until I can do "_blank_". This is the closest I've come in 5yrs to filling in that blank. Thank you so much for this video!!! If anyone wants to do like the Eddie Murphy movie "trading places" with me..I'm in.

I think Mario touches everyone. He was a genuine romantic, old school, greatest generation and tempered by the many hardships they had to face, like the great depression, and WW2. His interpretation (emotion) was also flawless because of this.

In my opinion this album is Mark's best. The tribute and admiration Mark has for the late great tenor Mario is gracious and humbling. Its a pleasure to listen to Mark's powerful voice. ☺️

How unnecessary to be unkind to Paul Potts! His voice is his voice! He makes no claims that he is a Tenor to beat all Tenors! Rare Great Tenors are just that. Mario Lanza had a quality unlike any other. Now a Voice has been discovered that could truly do the Life Story of Mario Lanza on Film. Marks Voice is that Rare Great Quality. Not since hearing Fritz Wunderlichs Phenomenally Gifted voice have i heard what i hear with Mark. In my Lifetime...... Thank you all for supporting such a Talented, Handsome Tenor 🌹❤

your defense of Paul Potts is admirable and needed to be said. Mr Potts music is very good and has its place in any worthy collection. The most remarkable event of Paul's audition in front of a cocky Simon Cowell is a few moments I love to revisit at least twice a year. I tell people "May we all be so blessed as have one Paul Potts moment of deserved recognition in our lifetime

I love Lanza and had to buy the cd, and I looked back to your Australian talent show, Nessum Dorma has been covered by so many but I really appreciated that at 15 you could interpret such a demanding aria that wasn't just "technical".
