I just watched the Nascar red bull team doing the same thing on the NY street, that's why I love F1, 3.2 sec pit stop so much technology

Emmanuell Nescau only difference i really saw was the number of wheel nuts, 1 big nut compared to 5 isnt really technological advancement its just different design, for one an F-1 car is probably barely a 3rd the mass of a nascar so it wouldnt need 5 nuts holding the wheels on. Its not like the nascar guys were undoing the nuts with a hand spanner. Also im pretty sure that F1 teams have like 2 people per wheel the nascar seems to have at least half as you see them swap sides after that do 1 sides tyres. Again its not technology but a different set of mechanics for how they run the teams/competition. F1 technology is more about thier aerodynamics engines and that sort of ultra fine balancing to make thier cars super quick. It comes at the cost of them blowing apart into dust when they crash (not the driver capsule obviously!). Compare a nascar which is somewhat aerodynamic but heavier and it takes an insane force to tear those up

+Emmanuell Nescau The F1 car having a single wheel nut has nothing to do with the weight of the car. The F1 car produces more torque than the Nascar so therefor a single nut is required to keep the wheel on safely

That's true. I realized that a few years ago when i went to see WRC here in Portugal and at the end of the stage i recorded as many cars as i could but in the end while talking to my friends i realized that i missed so many details, beside not living the moment "live". Now i still shoot with my camera or phone but i just point it and watch the real thing "in loco". If the footage is not very good i don't care, i have those moments recorded in my mind! These days people just don't realize how much important it is to live unique moments like these by looking at the actual scene and not through a fucking screen!

ya it's quite sad really whats happening , people see social media and gadgets as a way to express themselves to the world. but it is all the contrary in there real life which is passing them by while extraordinary things are happening right next to them. @stigger91 Yeah, I've seen 4 seconds stops already this year in some races. But this one here, you can try find it from related videos, it's not 3.2. :) It's interesting that the record pitstops are always achieved in free practice or testing, never in the races. Too much pressure I suppose.
