Hi, nice and informative. I am thinking about buying this camera,,, but some videos on youtube saids that the M100's videos sometimes gives a little more redish skin tones at default and also always a little over expose by 1/3 rd of a stop,,, do you find that ?
@Mark10ProVideo4 жыл бұрын
The overexposure I cannot recall being a problem. But you can set the exposure dial on the top of the camera to -1/3 so the cam constantly underexposes by that amount. The skin tones I dial towards yellow inside the picture profile settings. I believe color tone is the setting.....

TubeNoob Youre Welcome! Just one more thing though. What memory card do you use in your m100? I researched that in a way the quality of the memory card helps in the overall quality of fhr video. Is this true?
@Mark10ProVideo6 жыл бұрын
No, it does not help the quality of the video. Some sd cards can be too slow for certain video features. Only in the sense that you would have to use a less good video setting, to accomodate for the speed of the sd card will it be a problem. Check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4XYm6aqpsZkidE The one I landed on for my SL2 is exactly the one that I recommend for the M100, because the video features are the same. How to do pictures portrait?
@Mark10ProVideo5 жыл бұрын
I would get the 50mm f1.8. That is a classic portrait lens for the aps c system. Inside get a nice light with a big softbox for smooth lighting for starters or use natural light sources like windows. Out side the first unexpensive gedget for portrait photography would be a nice multi color reflector. Tremedously helpful outside. Did that answer your question?

Uh...that sounds like some sd card reading error or inernal signal routing problem. Better check your warranty, just in case. That is very unusual behavior. Maybe there's some info in side the manual on the blinking. that could be code for a specifict known error.

If you still do have you Sony a5100 please do a VLOG comparison and what's your verdict between the two?
@Mark10ProVideo6 жыл бұрын
A5100: better AF, better image quality, but the overheating... M100: Way better usability, very good AF, better battery life, but not as good an image quality..... If you want the best image and can live with the overheating: A5100. If you want the most ease of use and are prepared to get only good image quality: M100. The A5100 is a diva, the M100 is a workhorse:) Hope that helps you out a little. Greetings!

Woah, thanks for that! You have no idea how much it means! A little out of topic but have you tried the Sony RX100 iii or Canon G7X ii?
@Mark10ProVideo6 жыл бұрын
I once had my hands on the G7x, but i didn'T like the internal audio and the focusing system is not phase detection, but only contrast detection, face recognition works well, still I always prefer phase detection, especially in low light situations. Now, talking about lowlight, it dod well because of its f1.8 on the wide end. Lets in a lot of light. Unfortunately I have never had the chance to test an rx 100 Miii. But I know that the Mark II has the sony hotshoe with which you can attach one of the sony hotshoe mics, like the ecm gz1m for example. Then again jut contrast detection af and with the MII you would need a selfie stick, because the viewing angle on the wide end is not very wide.

@Mark10ProVideo5 жыл бұрын
Infinite power is right. The camera does not have a mic input. Bluie yeti sounds like you record directly to the computer maybe? In tha case you could use a camlink to hook up the camera and hook up the blue yeti to the computer as well, thenn use a software like OBS to record both video and the yeti audio track to the same file.

I own M10, whenever talking about taking a video it does worst since the auto-focus isn't performed well. Is M100 good in this case?
@Mark10ProVideo5 жыл бұрын
M100 has dual pixel AF. WAY better than M10 or M3. Among the best AF systems actually.

Hi nice tutorial ..but I have a problem with M100 and I am not able to identify what I am doing wrong ..it’s with the videos I shoot ..it looks nice on iPad but when I upload on you tube it’s either 480 or 320 p...initially I thought it’s you tube issue ..but when I shoot videos on iPad and upload on you tube I get the 1080p..I have kept my setting as mov rec size 1920*1080 25fps..Now even the video I shoot on M100 comes very dark unlike iPad ..please help how I can shoot and upload HD videos on M100.

How do you upload it? There should be little to no degrgedation of video quality after you upload, because the codecs you tube uses are pretty good. Somwhere in between the process of taking the file off the sd card and uploading it via the browser must be the problem....can you tell me more about your process?

My wife makes video but camera splitted the video... In 2 pieces how come? Any tips info?
@Mark10ProVideo5 жыл бұрын
Once the filesize exceed 4gbs they sometimes split the file it fht sd card is formatted with FAT 32 I think. What size are the files?
@petermerkus51755 жыл бұрын
@@Mark10ProVideo I think 4gb or something.... 😁
@Mark10ProVideo5 жыл бұрын

@@petermerkus5175If the problem remains, use your computer to make sure the card is formatted in NTFS file system.

No I have set full resolution in you tube ...but still the video comes in 480p.
@Mark10ProVideo5 жыл бұрын
What do the file properties of the file you upload say about the resolution? Details tab after right click.

The camera can go both 60fps 1080p and 30fps 1080p, why leave it at awkward 50fps ?
@Mark10ProVideo6 жыл бұрын
Because I am from Europe and we are shooting the PAL standard. Not NTSC. We get a lot of flickering lights and monitor if we shoot at 60 or 40. But if your standard is NTSC 30 or 60 is the right one.
