By far the best two tips are “just finish it” and “don’t shoot a video podcast”. It’s so easy to fall into that trap.

The tip about turning everything into a scene and not just alternating between an interview and B-roll makes such a difference on screen. Entered and super inspired to go out and shoot a 1 day doc!

Wow, Mark: that distinction between a visual podcast and documentary is gold. This is the reason I subscribe to this channel. Clear, actionable, and true.

This one day doc competition is such an amazing experience!!! I can only recommend it, it made me progress soooooo quickly, it forced me to search for a good story that could be told in a short amount of time, be good prepared, and finish it on time. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! ❤❤❤

One thing I love, that you really touch on below the surface of this, is the excitement of the moment; when an idea becomes tangible, and you're armed with the knowledge of the steps it takes to realize your vision. There are so many practicalities to making a doc, but getting through those steps in order to create makes it all the more exciting. The breakthrough, the room to dream, is the goodness in all art. To young filmmakers out there: find the team whom you trust, and who share the excitement for creating and dreaming with you. Be smart but go wild.

Love that you said to hide the mics. I was always taught to hide lavs and keep booms out of frame, these days I see the wireless go mics all over the place, in their hat, front of their shirt, in their hand talking into it like a cardioid mic 😂

Hey Mark! Absolutely great body of work you and your team are producing! Love the fact that you are sharing your journey and teaching the process along the way! My team and I at AFC Entertainment Group have been binging on all your films and learning so much!! Happy you decided to step out on faith and do all that you have been divinely purposed to do! Yeah this is definitely a fun exercise I wish I jumped on. I really should give this more of a go, the problem is always starting - kinda like that "first time at the gym" type of anxiety. I've got all these great ideas, but just gotta start.

i checked your channel. youre actually good and have talent, but you dont have like a recurring theme. youre all over the place, fromthis to that, trying everything just to be successful on here. try to stick to a topic, like mark is the Docu guy. with your talent with time you will become well known but not over night by riding the right hypetrain.

@@Kakaellsen Hey! Thank you very much, I truly appreciate it. I totally agree with you dude, I treat my YT as a place where I can share all the things I get up to - slowly starting to lean more into proper story telling (kinda like my last vid.... but more). Just need some more practice and a little more confidence 😅

My name is Jonathan Trauner. I will be 30 this May 15th 2024 in Jerusalem. I work at Mobileye in Jerusalem. I have Autism. I am a poet artist and performing artist and I love Gal Gadot and Taylor Swift. On June 18th 2023, I got hit by a huge tour bus and I only broke my left collarbone and did not die. I finished recovering end of August 2023 and my bone returned back to normal and to a completely unbroken unified state beginning of December 2023. My greatest dream come true is to become the first openly autistic poet performing artist and artist with Autism to win my Emmy Grammy Oscar and Tony film and acting awards in Los Angeles California in 2025, or in 2028 at the 100th Academy Awards. #NEVERGIVEUP
