It's yellow and black. Perfect for a Stryper tribute band.

I only buy basses in hideous colors so that no one wants to steal them and this is right up my alley

I love yellow and always wanted a P bass with the looks of Desert Sun Yellow Ibanez RG770 guitar. To bad they don't come with a maple fretboard as that would get it real close!

I got the J bass. It's quite nice after a thorough setup and new strings. The pickups sound as good as my Fender Am Pro Jazz, which I paid 8x more for.

With the yellow body and black pickguard, they should also make red versions and call them Wolverine and Deadpool basses. They sound great (in the hands of Frank)!

That little bass must be a Squier Bronco
@NECOxBRONSONАй бұрын
I hear they're all pretty much the same as Squier Affinity basses, but I haven't actually tried them so idk how they compare
@Earlzilla22 күн бұрын
@@NECOxBRONSON I have the J bass. It's somewhere between an Affinity and the higher end Squiers, but with premium sounding pickups. After a setup mine feels and plays so well I'd honestly pick it even over some MIM Fenders I've had.

That’s pretty amazing for a $200 price range bass…the tone is amazing, too…or you’re just a good player and the tone is in your fingers…I can’t tell, lol.
@GulaschguenterАй бұрын
In the past low end basses had very bad qualitiy. Sharp, uneven frets, terrible neck,... I think within the last 10 years we had a big improvement in terms of playability in the low end sector. You get a bad apple here and there, but that also happens with some more expensive basses. I play about 20 gigs a year and for 2 years now, I play exclusively a Squier Paranormal Jazz Bass. I also have a 72 Fender Jazz Bass both maple necks, they almost sound about the same. I love my Stingrays and Sandbergs, however the squier sounds and plays as good as those. I'd say 95% of your tone is player, setup, type of bass, EQ and Pickup. And who's to say that a more expensive bass sounds better? They sound just different. Give me any bass with low action without hum and a playable neck and I am happy. The Markbass Basses are fire 🔥 in the looks department. Very cool colors.
@CrodonАй бұрын
its also going through an insanely expensive studio rig...
@GulaschguenterАй бұрын
@Crodon Well, that only plays in the EQ part. If your signal is crap, your best studio processing can help only so much. I tried a couple of these at Guitar Summit this year going through a Markbass rig. Not to big a fan of the active ones, but I would've bought that Jazz Bass, but they only had the exhibits with them, no selling at the convention.
@Earlzilla22 күн бұрын
I bought the JB and the pickups on it are really incredible. They might be worth the $200 alone.

"sound demo" of a bass (or an ampli, effect, strings) are totally useless without a comparison. what are we "hearing"? the bass? the ampli? the post production? in every test or demo, we hear great sounds. oh yeah. the only useful demo would be a comparison between a bass connected to a reference amplifier, compared with a reference bass (for example a fender P in that case), without any effect or post production (or, at least, same post production for both).
