I am in use of 2 neewer rgb 660 as a key light neewer rgb530 as a back light with nice magenta color and now I have bought neewer rgb 530 pro as a fill light as I was using On my streams normal desk light with some diffusion till now 😆 and I can fully recommend this lights to anyone for streaming and some indoor photograpy but be aware this lights have not enought output to work outside photography .

Great review man! I have the RGB480 and it looks exactly the same. I love the build quality but I don't like the barn doors since they get in the way of the knobs. That's the only drawback I find, otherwise a great light and I use it mostly as a background light.

Yeah, man. The 480, 530, and 660 are all the same size - which is great because all the same accessories fit. My barn doors aren’t in the way of my knobs, but mine aren’t fully extended - I could see that being a problem though!! It is hard to beat the value of these lights. Might have to get that second one!!

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yes, mine is tilted 45 degrees most of the time and the barn door is hitting the bracket every time I adjust it, so I just removed the bottom barn door to accommodate that. Haha... Otherwise it's a great budget light and you really can't go wrong with it.

Fantastic review of this light Mark! I was looking at the rgb 660 pro 2 pack kit but then thought maybe the 530 was enough light and save some $$ 🤔 not a huge cost difference by any means though. Quick question, I'm setting up a green screen and my studio, so I need some back lighting for the green screen and some key lights for front shots and sketches and all the other video stuff. If you were going to choose ONE thing to start i.e. two LED/RGB lights or softboxes, what would be the most versatile and bad ass? I thought soft boxes were best for keylight front views, and then I DEF wanted to RGB lights to make the backgrounds look cool like you and all the KZbinrs LOL, so looking for the best of all worlds without breaking the bank. Any thoughts oh swami?? Appreciate you brother!

I still need to answer your other question - but I’ll do this first. These Neewer 530 RGB are great. I would get two of them to light the background whatever color you want and they can also be use to light the green screen.

You can get a third and put one of their softboxes on it for a key light. They even have desk stands to make it a desk light if you want. So overall - you could get a pack of three of those and get a softbox with them and you’re covered for most stuff. You could also do a cob light with a bigger softbox like I use - I will link to the most cost effective one in a bit - just always from my computer right now. Stay tuned!!

I'm growing my skills little by little and always learning here. I was also looking at the Neewer 660 Pros and some GVM's etc, , do you think these guys in this video here are the shizzle or if you had a little extra budget and wanted a bit more power or use, would you recommend something different? I do like the combo of 2-3 of the RGB LED's and a softbox in the long run, but for now, trying to decide on the best I can do in the moment for what I need which is desktop soft light and two or three RGB LED's for the green screen and background etc.

I was just looking at these on Amazon and wanted to see some reviews. Do you know what the difference would be between the 530 Pro and the 660? Also, amazon says that it’s only like 9 inches by 8 inches in diameter but it looks to be larger than that by what you are holding here in the video. What are the actual dimensions?

Just measured - it is 9 inches by 8 inches. The barn doors make it look larger. So if you spread those out all the way It would be an extra 5 inches on height and length. But you can take the doors off or position them however you'd like. The 660 just have more lights so it's more powerful. But the 530 is more than enough of me.
