If you are 'relatively young', and have some disposable income - start by pursuing a PPL (private pilot's licence). It's the first step and everyone (other than air force) starts there.

As tax payer..this is a waste of money..A new A321XLR would be marginally more expensive, could do the job as well, and a lot more like Swiss and EU citizen evacuations from troubled areas and other gouvernemental charter flights like flying far and fast large earthquake rescue teams with dogs, etc..but also with a massive number of A321 XLR in service, it would have a much better residual value later….so this could be a good investment alltogether., but like for F35 the Swiss army purchases of flying junk are completely corrupted.

This jet is what a government needs, a kind of business card for important international meetings. Yes, it is also a matter of image. Moreover, the range of this rather green plane is amazing. Talking about emergencies, rescue teams and dogs, Switzerland should (it has been already said for years) invest in a A400M or equivalent. Coming back to the G7500, I cannot wait to see this bird in BRN and do not care about the rest. I am not rich, I fly coach, but spotting this dude will make my day...And this is free of charge!!!

@LofoDub54 a A321XLR is a lot more impressive and can fly anywhere with much more load and is not significantly more expensive due to massive production so residual value later is far better . Imagine a label Swiss air force 1 on a tiny Bombardier G 7500 ulm or a large single aisle Airbus. ..not quite the same impact and public impression...Trump did not campain with a Honda Jet either .and Switzerland is not lichtenstein.... Like for F35 Musk want to kill, it is the worst solution which needs to corrupt to be selected and the real impact is not the amount diverted but the BAD choice..
