Haven't done ANY sketching in over 6 years. I was good when I was a teenager, my dad was on TV doing tons of art projects, but I couldn't seem to gain any confidence. I drew my first lion from your tutorial last night and I am amazed at what turned up on the page. Your instructions were so good and I could pause the video until I caught up and then start you again. I know you hear good stuff all of the time, you have over 2,000,000 subscribers so you must, but I just wanted to tell you how much I am loving your teachings and humor. I would show you my pretty lion but I don't know how to post it. I have always doodled and crafted and colored but I've never tried to really draw something. I really like this aspect of my creative self and will be doing more. Thanks.

Hi! Here is my experience making the drawing (I am between a beginner and intermediate): The first steps were easy as they were well explained (drawing the main lion features). The steps in drawing the lion's face were SO WELL explained that it was easy -though I used a stump (a shading tool) for some of the shadings. The mane was very hard to draw and I drew mine a bit different than Mark's, my hairs were thinner and less bushy (but his was more realistic). It took me A LOT of time though. I am giving my drawing to my aunt's family for Christmas and am sort of proud considering this is only my 2nd 'realistic' drawing.
