I went into see my local pro shop and had a club fit done and ended up buying a custom fit set of these felt so sweet to hit yes the top line was very noticeable but once you start hitting them you forget all about it when you see the gains, great review again chaps

I care a lot less about how the clubs "look in the bag or behind the ball." I just want the ones I can hit most consistently. I love how consistent professional golfers hit and how they can pull the differences out of the equipment.

I was testing these out and the 5-iron for me was going 225 I was blown away and they felt so good!

Most of these reviews the KZbinrs talk about how offset the clubs are, and how "chunky" they are, and how thick the toplines are. However, as you prove in this video, you hit all three of these clubs with amazing accuracy. So who would want (other than a professional or scratch golfer) a bladed club that looks so much "prettier" and to their liking, but one that you couldn't hit as well as these clubs? I just don't get it. I play to a 10 handicap and give me all the help and forgiveness I can get in a golf club!

Cobra has been doing that for years with their Fmax Superlite & Airspeed and now Air-X models. The lofts are the exact same in 5, 6, 7 iron but are even more lofted in the 8, 9, PW, and GW compared to the Rogue St Max OS Lite. Swing weight is even lighter as the Rogue ST in graphite is the same as Cobra in steel. The cobra models in graphite are even lighter.

I currently use the Callaway Mavrik irons, so sure I would play this type of game improvement irons. However, I don't think there is really any improvement over the Mavrik, so I'm completely happy to stay with them.

I guess they've finally noticed that people are ordering less clubs because no one can hit a 19-degree 6-iron so they may as well again start producing 6-irons with closer to 30-degrees of loft and sell more clubs.

I tried these out as part of my fitting the other day…. Just felt unbalanced, head heavy, like swinging a mallet…. Being a high handicapper, i was pleased with the distances and heights i was getting, but then i tried the St Pro and with the Elevate 95 shaft, i’ve never held a club that felt like an extension of my arm before, and could have swung it for hours, accuracy and distance way beyond these irons. My lone hour with the clubs was backed up with stats and an hours fitting, and i ordered the pro’s…. Great value for money, beautifull range of clubs and as Mark says, a lot of ways to get to the same place.

I recently watched many of your Turkey vlogs (again) as we were heading out there in March. If you recall on that trip Dan was getting quite regular stick for his strong lofted irons. Coach mentioned in this vlog about being wary of the odd flyer. Interested to know what has changed in your mindset between those turkey vlogs and now? As you also now game stronger lofted, chunkier irons? Cheers.

I currently game the B21 irons, these are similar I take it? Interesting to hear what your thoughts are between the B21 and these. Are the Rogues better. I do tend to struggle a little bit getting my irons up in the air, curious to hear the comparison with these clubs. I totally agree about adding more loft as well. What good is reducing loft if you can't get the ball up in the air?

I have over the winter purchased a mint set of Wilson Staff Tour Blades from '77, '78 and just to show you how lofts have changed over the years my 7 iron is 38 degrees of loft. My 4 iron has 26 degrees of lofts. #jussayin' I could never get by looking down at the top line of these irons

I play xrs os. I love them but I don’t like the offset to the left. How does the offset compare with the st max os and the st max? I just ordered at max but I’m scared they won’t hold the green. I’d really appreciate some input. I know i should get fitted but I don’t have a lot of money.

These review videos are very good. I like to think about the new clubs I would get ... 25ish handicap hitting my current set of old ping i3 blade irons. If I were to get something that was a bit more forgiving, what kind of gains do you recon I would see? Play about weekly, cut my hc by 7 ish strokes last year. Seems like a lot of choices for a game improvement club. They’re all chunky looking , have offsets, and are stronger lofted.

You've got to admire the marketing. They spend a decade delofting clubs and selling them to us as improving distance, while shoving an extra 2 wedges in the bag to make up the huge disparities at the top. I can see in a few years time they will have relofted everything and started selling us 1 irons again.

I still play my Ping ISI irons. Very weak lofted irons. I actually like that though. Here’s why…. Somebody with a super strong lofted pitching wedge are having to play “feel” shots anything inside 150. I have an ISI for anything between 65-190 yards, with perfect spacing in between. I shot even par with them Sunday. That’s why I haven’t upgraded irons since ‘97. It doesn’t bother me that my buddies are hitting 2 clubs less, when I’m beating them. Most people’s ego wouldn’t allow them to play these irons, because of the lack of distance. It’s all about SCORE to me.

Why can't Callaway make a better looking game improvement iron with a thinner top line and the offset less offensive? Ping has been able to refine the look of their G irons with each new generation, but when I look at the Rogue ST, it just reminds me of my Big Bertha irons from 25 years ago. Callaway chunk pretty well says it all.

Just looked at the lofts for the lite and it’s still pretty strong…similar to the apex or st pro. i wonder if the lite with a stronger shaft would be good for high to mid handicaps who eventually want to use players clubs.

Yeah, 31.5 degrees for a 7 iron isn't too bad... these days. I mean my 7i is 35° and that's much better for everything, spin, gapping, descent angle... and control of those damn over draws. The only thing is that people want to say "oh, I've hit 7 on this hole, that's one less than you..." or something. Just put colours or the lofts on the sole and that's it... We shouldn't care how far this or that iron number goes, just that when we pick one in particular it goes (most of the time) the distance we think it should go.
